The AI powered startup Cradlewise announced that it has raised $7 million in its seed round of funding led by venture capital firm Footwork and CRV. The round also saw participation from existing investors SOSV and Better Capital as well as notable investors Katrina Lake (founder of Stitch Fix), Jeremy Cai (CEO of Italic) and Dilip Goswani (CTO of Molekule).
The funds thus injected would be utilized to accelerate the company’s innovation and technology roadmap and grow their team in India with hires in engineering, software, and product and customer success.
The co-founder of Cradlewise, Radhika Patil commented, “We believe that Cradlewise is uniquely positioned in this competitive space as the only smart sleep product designed to impact an outcome and not just give notifications. We will continue to lead in this space by expanding the capabilities of the product in the areas of a baby’s health and safety.”

Founded by Radhika and Bharath Patil, Cradlewise is an AI powered smart crib which has a built-in baby monitor. The smart crib uses AI to learn the baby’s sleep patterns and adapts to changing needs. Additionally, it also spots the first signs of wakeup of the baby and starts rocking automatically with soothing music to safeguard sleep.
The co-founders are also parents and built Cradlewise when they felt that their child was facing disruptions in his sleep. The duo are inventors and have created software that drives drones, robots and smartphones for companies like Qualcomm and Texas Instruments.
