Teachmint raises Rs. 526 Cr. in funding


Teachmint announced that it raised Rs 526 crore in its Series B round of funding led by Rocketship VC. The round also saw participation from Goodwater Capital, Epiq Capital, along with existing investors Lightspeed India Partners, Learn Capital, and MV Opportunities India.

The edtech platform was founded in 2020 by Mihir Gupta, Payoj Jain, Divyansh Bordia, and Anshuman Kumar. Teachmint is a mobile-based video-first teaching platform built to help teachers digitise their classroom.

As per the company’s regulatory filings, Rocketship VC will be investing Rs. 260 crore. Goodwater Capital plans to invest Rs. 137 crore and Epiq Capital will be investing Rs. 40 crore.

The startup has been able to raise about $106.5 million within a year of its founding.

It competes against platforms like Teacherr, ODA CLass, eduZilla, SkoolApp, and Classplus.
