Tata Power bags Rs. 538 crore orders from EESL


Tata Power Solar has been awarded orders worth Rs. 538 crore by the state-run Energy Efficiency Services (EESL) to set up multiple distributed ground-mounted solar projects totaling 100 MW.

A subsidiary of Tata Power, Tata Power Solar (Tata Power Solar) received a Letter of Award (LOA) to build 100MW of ground-mounted solar projects for EESL.

Commissioning for the projects will take place in 12 months, according to a company statement. As a result, Tata Power Solar has increased its utility-scale EPC order book to 4 GW (DC) capacity with an approximate value of $9,264 crore (without GST), strengthening its position as the country’s leading solar EPC player, the statement further said.

According to Rata Power’s CEO and MD, Praveer Sinha, Rata’s new contract win from EESL for ground-mounted solar EPC projects is exciting for the company and is ‘’yet another recognition of Tata Power’s strong credentials in the solar energy domain and project execution capabilities.’’
