Tata Motors launch five-seater mini SUV ‘Punch’

Tata Motors has launched the five-seater mini SUV Punch at an introductory price of Rs 5.49 lakh, the company’s first new model in 2021.
Priced at Rs 5.6 lakh, the Tata Punch competes with the Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite. The Mahindra KUV100 NXT and Maruti Suzuki S-Presso are India’s two entry-level SUVs priced below the Punch.
Bookings for the Punch began on October 4 at a price of Rs 21,000. The Punch, which is based on the same platform as the Altroz premium hatchback, earned a 5 out of 5 crash safety rating from Global NCAP.
Tata Motors is offering the mini SUV in four variants, which it is branding as personas. They are Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. The top-end manual version is priced at Rs 8.49 lakhs.
There is a manual and automatic-manual transmission (AMT) version of the Punch. Prices for the AMT variant are 60,000 rs more than the manual version. In addition to this, there are four customisation packages available for Rs 30,000.
