Oppo India launches programme to mentor startups
Smartphone brand Oppo India recently launched a programme, Oppo Elevate, aimed at empowering entrepreneurs and mentoring startups. Herein, the company will be working with institutes, incubators, entrepreneurs, and industry experts to promote the exchange and integration of technological development and research by providing startups a platform to upskill and grow, along with allowing them to work with Oppo India in the future on new technologies and concepts.
Taslim Arif, VP India and R&D Head, Oppo India commented, “Oppo Elevate will empower young innovators with solutions to make people’s lives better every day.”
The programme will help innovators in domains related to camera and image processing, battery, networks, system performance, AI, payments, and gaming.
The company has also collaborated with the Karnataka and Telangana governments to boost the two states’ startup ecosystems. Furthermore, Oppo India recently signed an agreement with the United Nations’ Development Programme (UNDP) to engage young social entrepreneurs to join the endeavour to address social issues through the process of innovation.
