Koo achieves five million downloads in the last quarter

Koo App, Indian microblogging platform,  has achieved five million downloads in the last quarter and has added several cricketers, former cricketers and former commentators ahead of the T-20 World Cup. Ever since the Koo App has entered the country, users are liking it a lot. So far, the number of users joining this microblogging app has crossed 15 million. It clearly means that people are enjoying and liking it a lot. It is getting a lot of support from the Union Ministers of India and various government departments. Due to this the number of users of the app has increased significantly. Let us tell you that this Indian app Koo has a strong competition with Twitter.   

Apramaya Radhakrishna, co-founder of this social media platform, said that, ‘With the app having 5 million (about 50 lakh) users only in the last quarter, its popularity has increased significantly. The app now wants to expand to places other than the country. The company plans to maintain focus in India as well as enter the Southeast Asian market after June 2022.

Radhakrishna says that, ‘They will also experiment in South Asia. It has not yet been decided in which country of South Asia it will be used, but they will definitely want to enter a new market in the second half of next year.

Koo App is available in India as well as in Nigeria. It has stepped there only at the beginning of this year. The app is being liked there as well. Radhakrishna says that he is currently trying to understand the cultural aspects of Nigeria. This app was launched by Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidavatka in March, 2020. Within 18 months of its launch, the app had crossed the 1 crore user mark. Koo app is available in languages ​​like Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Assamese, Bangla and English.

The app is trying to make its way in other areas as well. Radhakrishna said Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines are among the markets Koo is eyeing. Right now the app is understanding these markets. The final decision will be taken on the basis of that.
