India’s gaming network to reach $3.9 BIllion by 2025


The Indian gaming market is expected to reach $3.9 billion in value by 2025, according to a study conducted by Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), in collaboration with OnePlus and Redseer.

40% of hardcore gamers paid an average of Rs.230 per month for their games, according to the report. According to the study, the Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the organic growth of digital games as mobile app downloads have increased by 50% and user engagement has increased by 20%.

Due to rapid smartphone adoption in the country, gaming has shifted into the mobile era, with large console and PC games now adapted for mobile devices.

According to the survey, the sector was also attracting huge investment interest, with nearly $1 billion invested in the last six months. According to the survey, 430 million people in the country currently play mobile games, and this number is expected to increase to 650 million by 2025.

More than 90% of India’s $1.6 billion gaming market is derived from mobile gaming, according to a recent study. The study showed that smartphones have become more affordable and come with powerful hardware that can run medium to high-spec games.

Moreover, smartphone OEMs are increasingly focusing on incorporating dedicated gaming features into their latest devices and launching gaming-specific handsets in response to these developments.
