Upskilling platform Great Learning launches CareerBoost
Recently acquired by Byju’s for $600 million- upskilling platform Great Learning had launched its CareerBoost program to help newly graduated college students attain entry-level jobs.
Co-founder Hari Krishna Nair stated, “When we started talking to students in Great Learning Academy, we realised what is still missing for them is how do they crack the first job. On the other side, we were also constantly getting feedback from the companies that they do find talent from Great Learning for lateral positions but fresher hiring still continues to be a challenge for them. CareerBoost solves the challenges on both sides.”
The platform helps streamline the selection process and matches the appropriate skill sets to the appropriate opportunities. Since its launch, several companies like TCS, Dell, and IndiaMart have utilised the platform to acquire fresh talent.
With a user base of over 2 million users, the edtech platform has reported 5x growth in learners for the Great Learning Academy. The company offers over 750 free courses in a myriad of disciplines- including English, Sales, and Business Development.
