Delhi every year sees its worst AQI levels when the winter begins to set in. During this time, the air is thick and polluted, and commuting becomes more difficult.
The Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, announced a ten-point plan today to ensure that Delhi’s air quality does not worsen further, as evidenced by several weather forecasts and previous trends.
The 10 pointers mentioned in CM Kejriwal’s plan includes-
- Decomposer for parali
- Anti-dust campaign
- Fine of waste burning
- Ban on crackers
- Smog tower
- Monitor hotspot
- Green war room
- Green Delhi app
- India’s first e-waste park
- Stop vehicular pollution
The chief minister said that since September 15 he has posted Delhi’s air quality data and his government has seen that the levels of air pollution are within acceptable limits but he feels that due to stubble burning in Delhi and the neighbouring states, the air quality will start deteriorating in a few days.
