Byju’s halts all Shah Rukh Khan ads
Indian edtech company, Byju’s has halted all advertisements featuring brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan following the ongoing investigation of his son, Aryan Khan, in a narcotics case.
Aryan Khan and seven others were arrested on October 3 after an NCB raid uncovered and seized 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of Hashish, 22 pills of MDMA and 5 grams of MD in their possession. The eight of them were relegated to 14 days of judicial custody. The bail plea of Aryan Khan was denied by a local Mumbai court on Friday.
Byju’s, one of India’s leading edtech platforms, has recently acquired several companies including Great Learning ($600 million), Epic ($500 million), and Aakash Educational Services ($1 billion).
