QuilinX launches ‘Bar Raiser’, In the direction to transform and create opportunities for top engineering expertise- QuilinX has launched “Bar Raiser Developer Community” for large funded startups. It has been introduced to challenge engineering capabilities and provide resourceful candidates to high-growth start-ups. The model is immune to the ups and downs that are synonymous with the functioning of startups; if one industry shows signs of recession the developer can easily move to another startup working in another industry.
The model will prepare QuilinX’ians to work with the engineering teams of diverse startups; the idea is backed up by the thought that people will end up learning from each other’s experiences. For example – One QuilinX’ian may be working for a large Fintech & other for a large E-Pharmacy Startup.
Bar Raiser is an essential model to understand the competencies that can make one a better fit in the community, a bigger chunk of the process is to enhance the qualitative aspect in the team. This developer model can definitely change the scenario because it examines one’s resourcefulness in other words the energy one can bring to the cell. Second, the company entails recognizing if the candidate can become a role model for the high-performing start-ups or not. The third motive holds the argument about the quantifiable judgment of failure- that includes calculated risks as well.
Mr. Harsh Singh, the founder of QuilinX shared his insights stating,” We at QuilinX, are looking for potential candidates and willing to hire from the top-tier colleges having appropriate vitality, attitude & skills, with this we thought of making the whole progression unique; by giving a new touch to the process. We wish to bring the candidates out of their boxes. Any QuilinX’ian working for whichever company should have the ability to do better than in-house engineering team & create amazing value for our customers.“
“The foundation of the company comes from strong leadership principles but that doesn’t mean suppression of your or others’ thoughts, we promote a flexible culture. However, I think this Model will serve unicorns and be a 100% hit in enhancing their capabilities,” Harsh added.
For early-stage startups or the ones that want to remain bootstrapped in the beginning, engineering leadership hiring and retention has become a massive challenge. In the last 6-9 months hiring for product engineering roles and core technology lead roles has become a matter of concern for leading startups in India.
Some of these sentiments were highlighted by founders like Bhavish Aggarwal during Ola Electric’s launch in August 2021 and Arnav Gupta from Scaler Academy. This need has come into play ever since Indian startups have stopped taking a backseat and started investing in research, development, innovation, an idea to implementation planning, and a lot more things that require core tech- qualitatively and not just quantitatively.
