Film Actor Daggubati Venkatesh invests in EV Startup BikeWo

The Hyderabad based electronic vehicle service provider startup BikeWo has recently received funding from the famous Telugu actor Daggubatti Venkatesh. The amount of funding received by the startup remains undisclosed by the parties concerned.
With this infusion of capital, Daggubatti has joined BikeWo as its strategic investor. Furthermore, the company has also revealed that the Telugu actor would be acting as the lead Brand Ambassador of the startup. The collaboration would be a long term one which would enable the brand to grow as well as scale thus allowing it to achieve its target of installing 20,000 EV charging points across the length and breadth of India by 2025.
Daggubati said, “I am delighted to be a part of BikeWo’s journey of making the EV segment more organised by providing an enhanced user experience. BikeWo is a brand that stands out in the EV space not only by laying infrastructure for EV 2W charging and servicing, but also by encouraging and creating entrepreneurs, especially women entrepreneurs, through its unique franchise network.”
In line with the collaboration, the Hyderabad based startup will expand its EV servicing and charging network across multiple cities of India while utilizing Daggubatti’s personal brand and leveraging his popularity for a series of marketing, outreach and promotion activities.
