A time when consumers are increasingly opting for home delivery of essentials, Swiggy has spun off its pay-per-use service, Supr Daily, as a separate division of parent company Bundl Technologies.
TBy.he founder of Swiggy, Sriharsha Majety, announced in an email to employees that Swiggy cofounder Phani Kishan is taking over the helm of Supr Daily. Email was posted on company’s website as a blog post. Kishan served as Swiggy’s vice president of strategy and investments until July.
“Over the last three years, the business has grown by leaps and bounds. Supr Daily currently serves (about) 500,000 customers on a monthly basis and delivers (around) 200,000 daily orders across six cities,” Majety wrote in the email.

Supra Daily had reported a gross merchandise value of Rs 165.9 crore in its second quarter of 2021, compared with Rs 118 crore in the previous quarter.
The company reported that three new categories of Supr Daily were introduced in April, including home and cleaning products, personal care products, and wellness and health products, which led to an increase in subscriptions. In the first quarter, Supr Daily reported revenue of Rs 30 lakh in the newly launched categories.
Besides BigBasket’s BB Daily, Swiggy is competing with new entry Reliance JioMart, which is currently operating in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Reliance Group’s Milkbasket also competes in this market.
