Zomato Pay is now available to consumers in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and other locations

Zomato Pay, the current and third version of its dining out service, has been launched in select Indian cities, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata by Zomato, an online food delivery app. The firm said in August that it was recalibrating its loyalty programs, closing new signups and renewals for its flagship program Zomato Pro, and modifying the conditions of its co-branded credit card with RBL Bank. Customers may now use the Zomato Pay function on the app to make purchases at its partner restaurants and receive discounts and cashback incentives, according to reports.

Zomato Pay, which is not a membership offering like Zomato Pro, also offers a ‘Vibe Check’ tool that allows partner restaurants to advertise themselves more easily. To boost location discovery, restaurants may publish short films similar to Instagram stories. Zomato and Swiggy were recently named among the world’s “Top 10” e-commerce-based meal delivery providers. Swiggy and Zomato were ranked ninth and tenth, respectively, in a report titled ‘Food Barons 2022 – Crisis Profiteering, Digitalization, and Shifting Power’ issued by Canada-based global research company ETC Group. The most crucial aspect is that they are both members of a herd of around 100 Indian unicorns. Unicorns are firms having a market capitalization of more than $1 billion.
