Uttar Pradesh Has Over 7,000 Startups, Says Piyush Goyal

On November 11, 2022, Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food, Public Distribution, and Textiles, spoke with young people working on startups in Varanasi. He also exhorted them to keep advancing technology to succeed.
At the Atal Incubation Center of the Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, he talked with young people as part of the Startup India Plan. He discussed startups with them during their conversation and shared several startup success stories with them.
He emphasized the fact that more than 236 startups from Varanasi and more than 7,000 startups from throughout the state of Uttar Pradesh had been registered.

The Union Minister talked about his previous trip to Varanasi from a few years ago, when he got the chance to engage with young people about startups, during the event. He expressed his happiness at seeing Varanasi’s startup concepts come to life today.
”Startups are engaged in finding solutions to common people’s problems and are making people’s lives easier,” he added, expressing his gratitude at the number of registered startups.
He pushed startups to come up with economical solutions that would benefit society.
