IIIT Hyderabad names four startups for the deep-tech cohort.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT) at Hyderabad has announced the names of four startups that will be accepted in their 14th cohort of the Avishkar Deep Tech accelerator. The four startups are namely, Hirex.ai, CometLabs, Embedsense and WebNyay. These four startups offer solutions like cognitive voice-bot, AI powered hiring solution, IIOT and online dispute resolution respectively.
The six month programme aimed to make them investment ready will be run by the Centre for innovation and Entrepreneurship at IIIT with collaboration with Co-creation Consulting and SucSeed Indovation Fund.

Ramesh Loganathan, Chief Operating Officer of CIE-IIITH said that connecting research with startups i s the key to deep-tech innovation that can succeed in the markets. He adds that this programme will hone their business plan, team and strategy to be investment-ready.
The four startups were selected from a group of 150 applicants. Apart from research support, the programme will also provide them business mentorship, market access and a seed fund of Rs40 lakh. The CIE has so far supported over 400 startups and provided seed funds to 19.
