Government clears Noida International Airport Master Plan


The government has approved a master plan for the next Noida International Airport (NIA), which will go live in about three years by processing passengers of Rs 120 million a year on one terminal and runway.
Over a 40-year concession period, a four-step expansion through the same number of terminals as the two runways will reach a peak capacity of 7 Chlore passengers.
The master plan created by aviation consultants Landrum & Brown and Zurich Airport International has been approved by DGCA, AAI, BCAS, and environmental authorities.

The NIA Master Plan also includes General Corporate Aviation facilities such as the VVIP Terminal, General Aviation Terminal and Heli Taxi Pads. These facilities handle private jet movements and helicopters to meet the needs of state officials.
