GoTo Group, Southeast Asia’s largest digital ecosystem, has nominated Hans Patuwo as its next CEO to succeed Patrick Walujo, effective pending shareholder approval at an extraordinary general meeting on December 17, 2025.
Patuwo, currently Chief Operating Officer and President of On-Demand Services, brings nearly eight years of experience within the GoTo family. He joined Gojek in 2018 as COO overseeing driver-partner and transport operations, later leading GoTo Financial as President during its expansion into one of Indonesia’s top fintech platforms. In his current role, he drives ecosystem-wide operations with a focus on growth, efficiency, and profitability through data-driven strategies.
Walujo, who assumed CEO duties in June 2023, guided GoTo through a disciplined turnaround that strengthened its financial foundation and sharpened operational focus amid challenging market conditions. The board praised his leadership in restoring long-term strategic clarity, while endorsing Patuwo as the ideal successor given his ground-level understanding and commitment to ecosystem partners like drivers and merchants.
The transition follows a structured succession process and comes amid speculation of a potential merger with Grab, though GoTo emphasized continuity in its profitability agenda. Patuwo’s track record positions him to navigate competitive pressures in ride-hailing, fintech, and on-demand services as Indonesia’s internet economy matures.
