Google’s Adtech Business To Face Probation From European Union By The Year End


It seems like the distress days of every tech giant all over the world is not coming to an end. While Twitter is facing charges after charges from Indian Government, Google’s Adtech business to face probation from European Union. In the last decade alone, Google was fined $9.8 billion for blocking competitive sites in e-commerce sectors such as – online shopping, Android smartphones and online advertising. Now once again, European Union antitrust regulator is opening another investigation against Google because of its advertising business policies.

Google’s Adtech business to face probation including advertisers, publishers, intermediaries and rivals. A few weeks ago, when Google had been under scrutiny of the French antitrust agency and had been fined a $268 million,, it was clear that this had just begun, other countries would soon start pressing probes against Google for their advertising policies. This EU enquiry could target all of Googles’ ad empire.

Google made $147 billion from online ad revenue, and it was literally the highest among all other companies. About 16% of revenue came from display or network business. The most profitable ones are – property ads, searches of Youtube and Gmail. Market research expects Google to control 27% of global online.
