Google launches Play pass in India

On Monday, 28 February 2022, Google Play rolling out to Android devices in the country this week announced the launch of Google Play Pass in India. Play Pass is a subscription service that is currently available in 90 countries. It provides access to many apps and games without ads, in-app purchases, and upfront payments.
Play Pass offers a curated collection of 1000+ titles across 41 categories from developers across 59 countries which includes many from India too. Users can start taking advantage of it with a one-month trial and then take up a subscription for Rs. 99 per month or Rs 889 for a year. Availing for a prepaid one-month subscription may cost Rs 109 to the users. With the Google family group, the Play Pass subscription can share with up to five other family members including family managers.

Play Pass will offer Indian developers of all types of apps and games a new avenue to expand their global user base and unlock new revenue streams along with the potential to access users across 90 countries. In order to always have something new to discover over Play Pass, Google will continue to work with global and local developers to add new games and apps every month.
