From Inspiration to Influence: How ADI Delhi’s DoBeDo Pro 2025 Champions Design Leadership
- ByStartupStory | October 24, 2025
As Delhi prepares for one of its biggest and most anticipated celebrations of design leadership, all eyes turn to DoBeDo Pro 2025. With the goal of shaping the future of Indian design and redefining how design leadership can drive meaningful, actionable change, the Association of Designers of India (ADI)’s Delhi Chapter is set to host DoBeDo Pro 2025 on Saturday, 25th October.
First things first, what is DoBeDo Pro? It’s a platform that shines a spotlight on young design leaders who are shaping India’s design landscape through their vision, courage, and creativity. Staying true to the vision of ADI — a collaborative, not-for-profit community of design professionals and students — DoBeDo Pro aims to build and nurture a vibrant creative ecosystem.
At its core, the initiative is guided by the philosophy of ‘DoBeDo’, which emphasizes that identity is shaped through action, growth comes through active participation, and the journey of design is a continuous cycle of doing, being, and evolving. It seeks to foster meaningful engagement within the design community while upholding the highest standards of professional excellence.
At the upcoming edition of DoBeDo Pro 2025, one can expect not just stories, but calls to action: narratives of breakthrough ideas, hard-won challenges, and transformative journeys that push the boundaries of what design can achieve. The main event is envisioned as a confluence of a felicitation and conference programme, where six speakers, selected by an esteemed jury, will present their body of work on stage in a 20-minute TED-style format.
These speakers have been shortlisted through a rigorous selection process led by a distinguished jury comprising design stalwarts such as Ashwini Deshpande (Co-founder & Director, Elephant Design), Parmeshwaran Venkataraman (Co-founder, 3 Big Things Studio), Mukul Goyal (Creative Director & Founder, Designwise India), Tapan Chakravarty (Architect, Urban Designer, Educator), and Mohor Ray Dahiya (Co-founder, CoDesign).
Before the shortlisted participants were presented to the jury for the final selection of six speakers, DoBeDo Pro 2025 began with an open call on social media, inviting design leaders to nominate themselves. From these nominations, a shortlist was created, and the finalists were then chosen by the jury. The selection process was based on six key criteria: Innovation, Leadership & Expertise, Entrepreneurship & Professional Practice, Social, Cultural & Environmental Impact, and Recognition & Achievements.
Expanding the perspectives offered at the main event, the selected speakers will be complemented by four guest speakers: Anirban Ghosh (Sound Designer, a.k.a. Baan G), Shivani Mehta (Co-founder, Darkroom), Akansha Singh (Design Leader, Expedia Group), and Tanu Sinha (Head of Design, PepsiCo India & South Asia).
In addition to the main showcase, the event will feature a panel discussion on “Creative Leadership in Design Education”, led by Madhu Pandit (Professor, IIAD; Partner, Bargad Design), Abu Tallah Farooqi (Associate Professor and Vice Dean, Academics), Saurabh Tewari (Assistant Professor, IIT Delhi), Dr. Manisha Mohan (Professor and Dean, School of Design, Bennett University), and Ramneek Majithia (Director, National Institute of Design, Haryana).
Attendees at DoBeDo Pro 2025 will also get to experience an exclusive Design Showcase by Ashish Dhaka (Director, Fashion Revolution India), Aravind Narayanan (Co-founder and Director, Fetus Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.; PepsiCo India, Kins Agency), and Rishiraj Chakrabartty (Assistant Professor, Indian Institute of Art & Design).
Beyond these highlights, the event will feature interactive networking sessions, engaging activities, and creative stalls at the venue. DoBeDo Pro 2025 is supported by Sona (Paper Partner), Jindal School of Design & Architecture (Education Partner), Kaagazi Labs (Content Partner), NID Alumni Association (Community Partner), and a roster of design and communication studios: Ashabhi Design, Say It With a Pin, GDD, and Lemon Yellow Studios.
DoBeDo Pro 2025 is set to showcase the vision and dedication of the Association of Designers of India (ADI), a world-class network committed to representing the professional interests of India’s design community. With over 15,000 participating members, 14 city chapters, and a strong presence across design institutes and firms, ADI fosters a collaborative ecosystem for design professionals and acts as a bridge between designers, the industry, education institutions, and policymakers.
The event is being meticulously organized by the Delhi NCR Chapter’s Core Managing Committee, led by Puja Anand (President), Aditi Vitasta Dhar (Vice President), Sakshi Jain (General Secretary), and a team of passionate design leaders and coordinators. Ankur Sardana has been the key force in engaging with various industries of design, Abhiroopa Mathur is strategically spearheading the visibility of the ADI Delhi NCR’s intent and initiatives through social media and communication, while Aakanksha Kulkarni is leading the events with highly effective operations. Behind the scenes, a dedicated army of volunteers and student members is ensuring the seamless planning and execution of the programme, from speaker curation to logistics and engagement. Together, ADI’s leadership, team, and volunteers embody the spirit of collaboration, mentorship, and innovation, positioning DoBeDo Pro 2025 as a landmark event for India’s design community.
