Emiza supply chain services secure Rs 37.5 cr in a funding round led by JM Financials

Emiza Supply Chain Services Pvt. Ltd, a warehouse and fulfilment services provider, has secured Rs 37.5 crore ($4.8 million) from JM Financial Private Equity in a Series B fundraising round. Mayfield India, an existing investor, was also a part of this round. The new funding will be used to expand existing technological infrastructure, enter last mile activities, and expand the company’s operations into new areas.
Emiza, situated in Mumbai, was started in 2016 by Ajay Rao to meet the storage and fulfilment needs of Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) businesses, SMEs, and major corporates selling online. It serves over 100 customers, including big D2C brands, large organisations, and SMEs in the beauty and personal care, fashion and accessories, home and kitchen, and food and beverage industries.
Ajay Rao, the Founder and CEO of Emiza stated that through a network of warehouses in eight cities across India, the firm provides services such as storage, selecting, packing, and labelling. And the company has grown substantially in the previous three years, with the expectation to grow even quicker growth in the coming years. This growth capital infusion and relationship with a seasoned investor like JM Financial Private Equity will enable the firm to accelerate its present expansion goals and introduce new service lines to the firm, he added.

Emiza has established a great value offer with a significant emphasis on improving client experience, boosting efficiency, and lowering costs.

The company have faith in the solid value proposition that allows both small and large D2C brand customers to focus on product development and market expansion while Emiza handles order fulfilment fully. This is Fund II’s eleventh investment, and it is consistent with its stated goal of investing in growth-oriented mid-market firms.
