E-mobility startup Prakriti secures lead investment from IEG as a part of $5 million funding round


Delhi-NCR based electric mobility start-up Prakriti secures an unrevealed amount of lead investment from the IEG investment group in its pre-Series A round of funding. The unrevealed amount will be the first part of the $5 million investment to be made in the start-up, as a part of pre-Series A round. 

Set up in 2019 by Nimish Trivedi, Rajeev Tiwari and Vikas Bansal, Prakriti is an EV cab provider to customers across B2B and B2C segments. 

Prakriti intends to use the infused funds to upgrade its technological know-how, augment the existing fleet of EVs, increase the count of charging stations across the country and revamp the mobile application ‘Evera’ for maximization of customer satisfaction.

Trivedi also aims to expand Prakriti to Tier-2 cities and enable inter-city travel. He also indicated his plan of empanelling charging stations pan-India on mobile app ‘Evera’ for hassle free charging services to customers. 

Prakriti claims to have logged 8 million green kilometers throughout Delhi-NCR region. Also, it tied up with the Delhi Government during the Covid pandemic in 2020 to transport patients to the hospitals. It  also joined hands with Make My Trip to provide cab services from Delhi Airport. 

Funding to Prakriti comes at the time when the central and the various state governments are promoting the use of EVs and the upgradation of the infrastructure for charging through a variety of policies and regulations.
