The digital skill assessment platform iMocha has recently announced that it has raised a sum of $14 million in a funding round which was led by the global investment firm Eight Roads Venture. The round also witnessed participation from existing investors like Upekha and Better Capital.
The company officials have revealed that the recent round of funding will be deployed towards increasing the skill library selection of the startup. Furthermore, the startup also intends to utilise the funds towards increasing its global reach and widening its partnership base within the HR ecosystem. This marks the first round of fundraise of the startup since inception.

Talking about the startup and the future strategy in hand, the CEO and co-founder of iMocha, Amit Mishra said, ““Without a skill assessment platform to help measure and scale their talent pool, businesses will quickly lose out on talented team members. At iMocha, we’ve built the broadest and deepest technology skills library in the world with measurable outcomes. “Because of our innovation and, most importantly, our ability to create a skill-fit market, numerous Fortune 500 and global enterprises entrust us with their skills assessment and benchmarking needs.”
Founded by Amit Mishra and Sujit Karpe in 2015, iMocha is a digital skill assessment platform which enables organisations to manage teams and undertake talent acquisition by assessing individual skill proficiency with job-role based assessments for both recruitment as well as learning.
