Fast Moving Consumer Goods(FMCG) distributors have issued a warning to Colgate Palmolive India and threatened to take strict measures if their issue of price disparity of products between traditional and Business-to-business distributors are not resolved.
The demands of the traditional distributors revolve around the issue of seeking a level playing field from manufactures and are protesting price disparities between them against B2B retailers such as Walmart, Jiomart, Booker, ElasticRun, udaan etc.

Speaking on the latest developments, Colgate Palmolive India stated that, “We have engaged with our distributor network and are looking to address their challenges and find solutions that help grow their business, ensuring our consumers continue to have access to their favourite and trusted brands”
The All India Consumer Products Distributors Federation (AICPDF) accused Colgate Palmolive India of not responding to their issues. They threatened that if the non-responsive behaviour continues, no distributor in Maharashtra will sell the Colgate’s Max Fresh brand and after a week the Ved Shakti brand will have to face the same fate.
