China’s Unitree Launches Robot Dog Training Course for Students

The training course revolves around Unitree’s flagship Go2 robot dog, priced at approximately $1,600 and incorporating state-of-the-art technology including the company’s proprietary 4D LiDAR system. This omnidirectional sensor enables the robot to navigate autonomously to user-specified locations with precise obstacle avoidance. The Go2 also features the ISS2.0 “intelligent side-follow system,” allowing it to navigate complex terrain while matching the movements and direction of its handler.
The curriculum is carefully structured to guide students through a comprehensive learning pathway that integrates simulation, practical hands-on training, competition participation, and project work—all while ensuring student safety. It provides training kits and debugging stations covering core competencies such as basic maintenance, motion control, autonomous navigation, and secondary development (custom programming) of quadruped robots.
