WickedGud, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) start-up focused on healthy indulgent food products, has announced a significant investment from Bollywood actor and fitness expert, Shilpa Shetty Kundra. The Mumbai-based company, 100Percent Nourishment Pvt Ltd, which markets its products under the WickedGud brand, raised INR 2.25 Crore from Shetty in this latest funding round.

Shetty, renowned for her healthy lifestyle advocacy and passion for entrepreneurship, joins a notable list of investors in WickedGud. Previous funding rounds included investments from Titan Capital, Mumbai Angels, NB Ventures, Dholakia Ventures, Venture Catalyst, and prominent founder angels such as Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt.

Founded in 2021 by Bhuman Dani, Monish Debnath, and Soumalya Biswas, WickedGud aims to revolutionize the Indian food industry by offering healthier alternatives. The brand has experienced remarkable growth, with over 300% increase in sales in the past year, thanks to its range of 100% maida-free, oil-free, and MSG-free pastas and noodles. These products are made using wholesome, mom-approved ingredients like atta, dal, chawal, chana, oats, and jowar. To ensure optimal nutrition and taste, WickedGud utilizes innovative Steaming and Convection Air Drying (SCAD) technology in its manufacturing process.

The popularity of WickedGud soared after its appearance on the grand finale episode of Shark Tank India Season 2. This exposure paved the way for successful expansion into international markets, including the UAE, Singapore, Mauritius, and Nepal. Customers can purchase WickedGud products directly from the company’s website or through leading e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, blinkit, BigBasket, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, and Flipkart.

“We are delighted to welcome Shilpa Shetty to the WickedGud family,” stated Bhuman Dani, Founder and CEO of WickedGud. “Her passion for food and fitness perfectly aligns with our brand values and mission. We believe that her influence will help us reach a wider audience and promote conscious consumption.”

Shilpa Shetty expressed her excitement, saying, “As a family of food-lovers, we are always looking for opportunities in the better-for-you indulgent food space. After trying WickedGud’s Spaghetti and being impressed by its taste and health benefits, especially seeing how much my kids enjoyed it, I was sold on the idea. This inspired me to not only endorse the brand but also invest in it. I am thrilled to support WickedGud in their mission to unjunk India, one kitchen at a time.”

With Shilpa Shetty’s endorsement and investment, WickedGud is poised to strengthen its market presence and further expand its range of healthy indulgent food products. The company remains committed to providing consumers with tasty and nutritious options while promoting a conscious approach to food consumption.
