Better.com CTO Diane Yu steps down after 16 months on the job

In the voluntary separation plan that the digital mortgage lender offered earlier this week CTO Diane Yu is among employees agreeing to take part, though the report she will stay on as an adviser. After leaving a similar role at Comcast, Yu joined the company in January 2021. What happened at Better.com’s December meeting where it laid off 900 employees, was discussed in the news that follows yesterday’s story.
Alex Wilhelm and Anna Heim took a look at global venture capital, earlier this week, finding that later-stage investments are declining. This time diving into what happened with late-stage deals — and what kind of slowdown they’re talking about here, Alex is back again. Didi Chixung, the Chinese ride-hailing giant, is sticking out its thumb and grabbing a ride out of South Africa today. A specific reason for its departure wasn’t given by the company, but it seems that some speed bumps has been hit by its year-long ride in the country early on.
