Bengaluru based startup nCORE Games raises $10 million in Series A round

Bengaluru based gaming startup nCORE Games has recently raised a sum of $10 million in its Series A round of funding led by Galaxy Interactive and Animoca Brands. The round also saw participation from a swarm of investors including Amitabh Singhal, Sandeep Nailwal, Kanwaljit Bombra, Sohil Chand, Ashish Chand, Ram Madhvani, Kristian Sgerstrale and Akshay Chaturvedi amongst others.
Sources reveal that the gaming startup intends to utilise the recently infused capital to launch a variety of games in the Web3 space and furthermore the play-to-earn space. The startup currently has two gaming apps in the market namely FAU-G and Pro Cricket Mobile.
Talking about the recent round of funding and the implications of the partnership, the Executive Chairman and co-founder at Animoca Brands, Yat Siu said, “nCORE Games was started by experienced gaming industry professionals with strong pedigrees. This is one of our most promising investments in India, which has a large gaming market with a massive growth potential. nCORE Games has the right team to leverage blockchain and NFTs in games to deliver digital property rights to players, and we look forward to many successful products as we move toward a global open metaverse.”
Based out Bangalore, nCORE Games is a mobile gaming app which offers a multitude of interactive mobile games. It curates and publishes category defining games for the Indian market. The startup currently has two games that it has launched in the market and aims to further indulge into the NFTs space along with metaverse.
