Audio electronics startup boAt acquires Singapore based Cove IoT

The audio consumer electronics startup boAt’s parent company Imagine Marketing Private Limited has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Singapore based wearable smart IoT product development startup KaHa Pte Ltd (Cove IoT) for an undisclosed amount.
The recent acquisition is likely to enable boAt to leverage the experience of wearable smart IoT products from Cove and implement those features within its wearable device segment. Furthermore, this acquisition would allow the consumer electronics startup to scale up its holistic wearable platform and inculcate new product offerings for the Indian consumers.
Talking about the recent acquisition along with the implications of the same for the consumer electronic startup, the co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Imagine Marketing, Sameer Mehta said, “Our acquisition of KaHa will capture all aspects including vitals, fitness, social and mental health along with providing lifestyle features like gamification, enabling payments etc. By leveraging KaHa’s capabilities, we will be able to create a smart wearable ecosystem with powerful functionality at affordable prices that truly benefit the consumers.”
Founded in 2016 by Aman Gupta and Sameer Mehta, boAt is a consumer electronics startup which offers a wide range of wearable products ranging from headphones, audio cables, earphones to speakers and sound bars. It has been ranked as the fifth largest wearable brand and has ranked as the top most favourable ear wear brand in India.
