ANS Commerce acquired by Flipkart, aims to strengthen India’s ecommerce ecosystem

On Tuesday, the Flipkart Group said that it has acquired a full-stack ecommerce enabler, ANS Commerce, that helps brands sell online. Subject to customary closing conditions, the deal is expected to close in the second half of 2022.
Flipkart said it is continuing its efforts in order to strengthen the Indian ecommerce ecosystem by investing in the capabilities of technology enablers that will address the needs of the rapidly growing and evolving digital retail market in India, through this acquisition. ANS Commerce will continue to operate as an independent business under its existing leadership team, post the acquisition.
ANS Commerce launched in 2017, built a full-stack offering for brands across the value chain, including brand-store tech, marketplace integrations, performance marketing tech and services, and warehousing, and facilities maintenance capabilities.

Helping them transition to digital commerce, it works with over 100 clients across mid-market, enterprises, and D2C brands in different categories.
The company helps Brands and businesses are helped by the company in order to create digital brand-stores/storefronts on its Kartify platform, improve return on ad spends, and manage end-to-end processes covering logistics and warehousing.
The D2C segment is a key focus for the company, which is rapidly growing in the Indian market as to connect with their consumers who seek direct engagement with them has been aimed by the brands.
