Alpha Wave Incubation led a $20 million Series A round for 100ms


Alpha Wave Incubation (AWI) led a $20 million Series A fundraising round for live video-conferencing infrastructure startup 100ms, which will power the next generation of live video apps. Matrix Partners India and LocalGlobe, as well as existing investors Accel and Strive, participated in the round. vc.

This investment comes after the business received $4.5 million in seed capital from Accel and Strive.vc about five months ago. To date, it has raised a total of $24.5 million.

100ms, founded by Gupta, Aniket Behera, and Sarvesh Dwivedi in 2020, provides software development kits that allow firms to add live video and audio features to their mobile and online products (SDKs).

With just a few lines of code, developers may create virtual events, audio rooms, webinars, schools, live shopping, game streaming, and telemedicine features. Companies are charged on a pay-per-use basis based on how they use the conferencing, recording, and live streaming features.

The funding will be used to assist developers design and deploy enterprise-class video apps in a matter of hours, according to the business.

The founding trio previously worked at Walt Disney’s streaming service Disney+ Hotstar, with Gupta also contributing to the development of Facebook Live capabilities at Meta.

WhiteHat Jr, Circle, Paytm Insider, Townscript, GetMega, Frontrow, and Kutumb are among 100ms’ current customers.
