Agritech startup Nutrifresh raises $5million in pre series seed funding

Nutrifresh raises $5 million in pre series seed funding. Nutrifresh is an agritech startup focusing on hydroponically-grown produce. The company basically focuses on residue-free, and chemical-free production and it makes them unique in the market.
The funding is led by investors like Theodore Cleary from Archer Investments, Sandiip Bhammer the managing partner of Green Frontier Capital, Sky Kurtz the CEO and co-founder of Pure Harvest AE and Mathew Cyriac from Florintree Advisors and ex MD of Blackstone India. Rest of the investors include Dr Soumitra Dutta, Shaishav Dharia, and Karan Goshar.
“Team Nutrifresh is extremely committed to bringing focused Hydroponic Farming which is robust, tech-enabled, IoT based and gives consistent production,” said by co founder Sanket Mehta.“The funding in Ag-tech space is the proof of concept encircling the fact that residue-free and quality veggies are most critical in urban lifestyle and Nutrifresh is focused on bringing quality food security.” She added.
The major aim of the funding is to scale up farm operations, start complete traceability and transparency in production, and marketing. The creation of an integrated Farm-tech platform is also a part of their plan. Sanket Mehta and Ganesh Nikam are the two cofounders of Nutrifresh and their aim is to provide consistent pesticide-free hydroponic,nutrient-rich production across India.
