In some parts of Bengaluru, Ola has started offering 10-minute meal deliveries. The service will be offered through the Ola Dash delivery initiative, which can be found on the app. Ola Dash is teaming up with Mukunda Foods to take on competitors like Zomato, Dunzo, and Zepto in the rapid commerce area.
Customers will be able to order standard fare such as pizza, wraps, and rolls, among other things, through the service. The offerings are under the ‘Indian Tadka’ section. Customers may get khichdi, rice bowls, and biryani from Ola in under 10 minutes, according to the company. The items are described as “freshly prepared” on the app, and they are prominently shown on the Ola Dash page.
Ola will use the facilities of Mukunda Foods, a food robotics business that just received $5 million from Zomato for a 16.66 percent share. Mukunda Foods has clients in both top cloud kitchens and standalone eateries and will help power Zomato Instant, the company’s 10-minute meal delivery service.

Mukunda Foods CEO Eshwar Vikas stated that the company does not have an exclusivity agreement with Zomato and that it collaborates with all Ola, Zomato, and Swiggy. The company claims that its equipment can cut the cooking time in half for Chinese and Indian dishes. Swiggy has also discussed using Mukunda Foods’ smart robotic technology to automate food production in its cloud kitchens for certain of its private labels, Vikas said.
Zomato announced its investment in Mukunda Foods at the same time that it revealed a $150 million loan to BlinkIt, which will result in a merger between the two companies. BlinkIt, originally Grofers, became a unicorn in late 2021 thanks to an initial Zomato investment, but a loan in February 2022 prevented a term sheet valued at $700-$800 million.
