Adani Enterprises to Buy 50 Percent Shares in Agri Drone Start-up ‘General Aeronautics’

Adani Enterprises, an Indian multinational conglomerate has inked a definitive agreement to acquire a 50 percent stake in General Aeronautics Private Limited, which offers commercial drone-based plant protection solutions. The agreement value was not yet disclosed.
Ahmedabad -based, Adani Defence Systems and Technologies Limited will use its military drone and AI/ML capabilities to provide end-to-end solutions for the domestic agriculture sector in collaboration with General Aeronautics.

The acquisition fits with Adani Defence’s goals of offering a platform for start-ups and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) for quick growth and scalability of new technology, according to the company.
Founded in 2016, by Abhishek Burman, Kota Hari Narayana, and Anutosh Moitra General Aeronautics is a Bengaluru-based end-to-end Agri platform solution provider which offers robotic drones and drone-based solutions for crop protection, crop health, precision farming, and yield monitoring in the agriculture industry, utilizing artificial intelligence and analytics.
