Funding Alert

Healthtech startup AarogyaAI raises $700,000 as part of seed round

Healthtech startup AarogyaAI Innovations has recently raised a funding of $700,000 as a part of its seed round of funding from multiple investors. The round saw participation from Info Edge India (backed by Redstart Labs), Avana Capital as well as existing investors like Entrepreneur First and First In Ventures.

The company officials have stated that the recently infused capital will be deployed majorly for Research and Development (R&D), expansion of the current team, validation as well as pilot deployments.

Expressing his views on the recent fundraise, the Partner at Redstart Labs, Vibhore Sharma said, “Genome sequencing is now at the heart of discovering drugs, ascertaining their efficacy and finding more about sickness than ever. AarogyaAI team has taken up the challenge to solve for an extremely crucial aspect of treating one the most ancient diseases. This would enable them to lay down the foundations for creating a platform that would hopefully help in several areas in research as well as clinical care.”

AarogyaAI

Founded by the female scientist duo Praapti Jayaswal and Avlokita Tiwari in 2019, AarogyaAI has built a SaaS platform wherein the DNA sequence from bacteria (genome sequencing) infecting a patient can be uploaded which is thereby analysed using ML algorithm. The AI powered device then generates a report for the patient depicting the drug susceptibility status.
