Funding Alert

A cannabis-infused snack company has raised $4 million in funding

TSUMo Snacks, a company that makes cannabis-infused snacks, has raised $4 million in a seed round led by Casa Verde Capital, a cannabis-focused venture capital firm.

Cheese puffs, fiery hot cheese crunchers, zesty ranch tortilla rounds, hint of lime tortilla rounds, and salsa verde tortilla rounds are among the company’s products. Each bag contains 10 milligrammes of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Last fall, the brand made its debut. Products are sold in dispensaries all over California.

“With this funding, TSUMo will be able to make significant progress in bringing a diverse range of unique snacks to market,” said Caroline Yeh, co-founder and CEO. “We will develop new flavour profiles and form factors with this new capital, elevating and expanding the way people consume cannabis.”

“This capital will be used to supercharge TSUMo’s product roadmap as the brand continues to fill a need for differentiated infused products in a space dominated by sweet-centric offerings,” said Yoni Meyer, a partner at Casa Verde.
