7th Young Bharat Olympiad to Launch on July 20 in Saharanpur; 200,000 Students to Receive Free Skill Courses Worth ₹10,000 and Career Guidance


Over 200 school and college principals attend district-level orientation at CDO Office; administration calls for maximum student participation

Saharanpur: Preparations for the 7th Young Bharat Olympiad, one of the largest youth development initiatives in the district, gained momentum with a district-level orientation meeting held at the Chief Development Officer (CDO) Office, Vikas Bhawan, on Monday. More than 200 principals from schools and colleges across Saharanpur participated in the meeting to discuss the roadmap for the upcoming district-wide campaign.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Development Officer (CDO) Sumit Mahajan (IAS) emphasized that education today must go beyond academics. He encouraged all educational institutions to ensure maximum participation, stating that initiatives like the Young Bharat Olympiad help students build confidence, develop future-ready skills, and make informed career choices.

The meeting was chaired by District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Jai Karan Yadav, while Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Komal also appealed to schools to actively involve students in the initiative.

During the session, Praveen Kumar Rajbhar, Founder and CEO of SkillingYou, presented the vision and structure of the 7th Young Bharat Olympiad, which will begin on July 20. He shared that the district-wide initiative aims to engage over 200,000 students from more than 500 schools and colleges, covering students from Class 6 to Graduation and above. 7 YBO – 2.pdf

Rajbhar explained that the Young Bharat Olympiad is much more than a competitive examination. It is a platform designed to identify hidden talent, promote skill development, create career awareness, and prepare students for the opportunities of the future. The assessment will be conducted entirely online, allowing students to participate conveniently through the SkillingYou mobile app from their homes, schools, or anywhere else. 7 YBO – 2.pdf

Every participant will receive a Digital Participation Certificate, a Personalized Career Counselling Report, and free skill courses worth over ₹10,000. The learning package includes courses in English Speaking, Personality Development, Interview Skills, AI Fundamentals, MS Excel, Computer Basics, CCC Concepts, and Basic Python. Students will also gain access to career guidance, skill development opportunities, entrepreneurship awareness, and placement support based on their aspirations. 7 YBO – 2.pdf

Speaking about the organization behind the initiative, Rajbhar said that SkillingYou, a Delhi-based EdTech startup, has positively impacted more than 500,000 students across India through its work in skill development, career awareness, and employability. The meeting was attended by CA Arun Mittal, Gajendra Singh, senior officials from the education department, principals of schools and colleges, and other distinguished guests. The session concluded with a collective commitment from participating institutions to ensure widespread student participation and make the Young Bharat Olympiad a transformative movement for the youth of Saharanpur.
