Bengaluru-based mobile gaming startup Spill Games has raised $3.1 Mn (approximately ₹28 Cr) in its seed funding round, co-led by Centre Court Capital and PeerCapital, with participation from existing investor All In Capital.
The fresh capital will be deployed towards customer acquisition, brand building, and expanding the team as the company looks to strengthen its position in the fast-growing casual gaming segment.
Founded in 2024 by Om Misra, Tapan Ranjan, and Harsh Garg, Spill Games focuses on casual and puzzle-based mobile games. The startup currently operates a portfolio of five titles, including Cozy Finds, Sticker by Number, Zen Math Crossword, Bird Rescue Jam, and Grill Master.
Spill Games follows a rapid experimentation approach to game development. Instead of spending extended time in development cycles, the company builds games based on strong initial hypotheses and launches them quickly to gather real user feedback. This data-driven iteration model allows the team to refine gameplay and user experience continuously.
Highlighting this philosophy, co-founder Om Misra noted that speed is a critical factor in the company’s strategy, as real player interaction provides the most valuable insights for improvement.
In terms of traction, the startup reported an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of approximately $1.5 Mn as of February. Its user base is largely international, with around 50% of users from the United States, followed by Brazil (15%) and Japan (10%).
Spill Games currently monetizes through in-game advertising and in-app purchases. Looking ahead, the company plans to significantly expand its pipeline by testing over 20 prototypes in the next 18 months, with a target of launching 5–10 profitable new titles.
The fundraise comes at a time when India’s gaming ecosystem is undergoing a transition. While the real-money gaming segment has faced regulatory challenges and slowdown, there is growing momentum around mobile gaming, interactive media, and AI-driven gaming infrastructure.
As the industry recalibrates, startups like Spill Games are betting on innovation, speed, and global-first products to capture the next wave of growth in the gaming landscape.
