AI cybersecurity startup nets $3.4m seed funding

AI-focused cybersecurity startup Gambit Cyber has raised $3.4 million in seed funding to develop its autonomous security platform and target expansion in Europe and beyond.
The round was led by Expeditions, with participation from Bitdefender Ventures, Voyage Ventures, and strategic angels from the security sector. The capital will fund engineering hires, AI agent enhancements, and deeper integrations with enterprise security tools like SIEM and EDR systems.
Based in the Netherlands, Gambit Cyber provides an AI-native platform that monitors environments in real time, correlates threats, and handles autonomous responses while allowing human oversight for critical actions. It aims to cut alert fatigue and automate remediation for mid-market and enterprise teams facing talent shortages.
The startup focuses on SaaS companies, financial services, and critical infrastructure operators dealing with complex attack surfaces. Plans include EU/UK growth, advanced playbook development, and MSSP partnerships to scale reach.
