Toy-Tech Startup Expands Manufacturing to Meet Growing Global Demand
Mirana Toys, a rapidly emerging toy-tech startup in India, has successfully raised $6.5 million (₹57.5 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Arkam Ventures, with participation from Accel, Info Edge, and Riverwalk Holdings. This infusion of capital will accelerate the company’s expansion plans, including setting up a new factory equipped with advanced injection molding and die-casting machines, along with in-house packaging lines. These moves are aimed at boosting monthly production capacity to cater to both the growing domestic market and international export demands.
Founded in 2021, Mirana Toys has established itself as a vertically integrated player that manages the entire product lifecycle — from 3D design and prototyping to tooling, electronics assembly, and final production. Its portfolio includes smart educational toys such as AI-enabled robots, augmented reality remote-controlled cars, STEM kits, and hobby-grade RC vehicles. Through tight control of design, tooling, electronics, and assembly, the company ensures high product quality and rapid iteration to meet global standards.
The funding will also enable Mirana to expand its design and sales teams with a focus on international growth. The startup is well-poised to leverage the “China-plus-one” supply chain diversification trend, with around 40% of its current orders exported to the United States and a strong pipeline from Europe. Mirana is also advancing discussions with distributors in the Middle East and Africa to further strengthen its global footprint.
Industry experts highlight Mirana’s unique position in controlling every critical stage of production, allowing for quicker turnaround times and flexible customization, key strengths to compete in the rapidly growing global tech toy market. With the Indian tech toy segment projected to grow significantly over the next decade, Mirana aims to become a leading partner for global brands while showcasing India’s manufacturing capabilities on the world stage.
