GMA Launches ‘Ghaziabad Entrepreneurship Mission’ to Empower Youth Towards Business Leadership

The Ghaziabad Management Association (GMA), one of the oldest and most respected business bodies in the region, has launched a visionary initiative the Ghaziabad Entrepreneurship Mission to nurture and support the next generation of business leaders from local colleges and institutions.

The launch event, held at GMA’s office, saw active participation from representatives of over 14 leading colleges in Ghaziabad. These institutions will now play a key role in reaching aspiring students and encouraging them to be part of this unique program.

Speaking at the launch, GMA President Dr. T.R. Pandey and General Secretary Mr. Rahul Agarwal highlighted the association’s legacy of over 45 years in supporting entrepreneurship and economic development in the city. They shared that this mission is a natural extension of GMA’s commitment to build a stronger business ecosystem by empowering youth with the right knowledge, mentorship, and access to opportunities.

To bring this vision to life, GMA has partnered with SkillingYou, a nationally recognized EdTech startup, as the knowledge and execution partner. SkillingYou brings deep experience in training rural and first-generation entrepreneurs and is already implementing similar initiatives across Saharanpur, Varanasi, Bijnor, and Ghaziabad.

During the event, Praveen Kumar Rajbhar, Founder and CEO of SkillingYou, presented the roadmap of the program. Students will register through the SkillingYou App and take a Business Aptitude Test, designed to evaluate entrepreneurial potential, market understanding, problem-solving, and financial awareness.

From this pool, the top 100 students will be selected to undergo a six-month entrepreneurship training program (hybrid format), which includes practical learning on ideation, marketing, business model creation, compliance, and funding strategy. Upon completion, students will receive certification and long-term mentorship.

The program also offers guided access to government funding schemes like PMEGP, PM Mudra Yojana, and Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana, in addition to support from GMA’s internal network of business leaders and investors.

GMA extended its appreciation to all the college representatives for their presence and urged them to help mobilize their campuses for this youth-focused mission. The colleges will serve as awareness partners, encouraging participation and supporting deserving students in this journey from student to startup founder.

Students can download the SkillingYou App and apply until 10 October 2025.
