Bengaluru-Based F&B Startup Nuvie Raises $450K in Pre-Seed Round to Reimagine Healthy Indulgence
- ByStartupStory | June 16, 2025
Bengaluru-based food and beverage startup Nuvie, known for creating indulgent yet health-focused snacks and beverages, has raised $450,000 (₹3.8 Cr+) in its maiden pre-seed funding round. The round was led by startup accelerator PedalStart, with participation from a strong lineup of strategic angel investors and entrepreneurs including Mukesh Bansal (Founder, Myntra, Cult.fit), Ayyappan R (Founder & CEO, FirstClub; ex-CEO, Cleartrip), Chanakya Gupta (Co-Founder, Tuco Kids; ex-SVP, Flipkart), and Arun Sharma (Co-Founder & CPO, Qlub UAE).
Founded by Prashant Paliwal and Hem Narayan, two ex-Cult.fit leaders, Nuvie was launched with the mission of flipping the conventional approach to health by making it enjoyable, flavorful, and sustainable. Their products aim to bridge the gap between taste and nutrition, offering indulgences that don’t compromise on health — such as protein-rich milkshakes, chocolates, and soon-to-launch cold coffee infused with protein, or “Proffee”.
A large part of the capital raised will go into new product development, brand-building, and content creation, while the remainder will be strategically used to scale distribution and accelerate growth.
“We’re elated to raise our pre-seed round, a significant milestone in our journey to reimagine healthy eating. At Nuvie, our focus is on crafting innovative products that strike the perfect balance between health and indulgence for today’s lifestyle conscious consumer,” said Prashant Paliwal and Hem Narayan, Co-Founders of Nuvie. “This capital will empower us to double down on product innovation and strengthen our market presence as we gear up for our next phase of growth.”
Speaking on the investment, Manas Pal and Aditya Darolia, Co-Founders of PedalStart, said:
“As Indians become increasingly conscious about their food choices, the market for nutritious foods in our country has been growing expeditiously. Despite that, very little innovation has happened in the food-tech space to make healthy foods delicious — and that’s exactly where Nuvie gains its edge. Nuvie’s exciting category, innovative approach, and experienced founders were the key factors that enthused us to invest in them. We at PedalStart look forward to supporting them as their long-term growth partner.”
Since its inception last year, Nuvie has witnessed strong early traction, generating ₹10 lakh+ monthly revenue from the very first month. Their product lineup includes lactose-free ready-to-drink protein shakes in three flavors, with five more flavors in the pipeline. Other upcoming products include India’s first protein-infused cold coffee and a protein chocolate bar — healthier takes on traditional indulgences.
With its footprint already spread across 100+ premium retail stores in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai — along with a presence in over 200 gyms — Nuvie is rapidly scaling. Its products are now available on major quick-commerce platforms like Blinkit, Instamart, and Big Basket. The brand now plans to strengthen its online presence through its website and digital platforms.
Looking ahead, the startup aims to close CY 2025 at an ARR of ₹10 Cr, capitalizing on India’s growing shift toward holistic health and lifestyle choices.
