Japan’s Denso Partners with T-Hub to Engage Automotive Start-ups for Advanced Mobility Solutions

Japanese auto components giant Denso has joined forces with T-Hub, Hyderabad’s leading start-up incubator, to collaborate with automotive start-ups focused on advanced mobility solutions. This partnership was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu, marking a major milestone for the automotive innovation ecosystem in Telangana.
Through T-Hub’s T-Connect platform, Denso will engage with a network of India’s most innovative automotive start-ups, collaborating on new ideas, tackling complex challenges, and seeking solutions that align with the company’s vision of next-generation, intelligent automotive technologies.
“Through T-Hub’s T-Connect platform, Denso will collaborate with a network of India’s innovative automotive start-ups to generate ideas, break down complex challenges and conduct a search for solutions aligned with its vision of next-generation, intelligent automotive technologies,” said the office of Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu.
The collaboration is set to include mentorship programmes, with Denso leadership sharing insights on global industry trends while gaining fresh perspectives from Indian entrepreneurs exploring cutting-edge solutions in the automotive space. This will foster the development of innovative products and technologies, particularly in areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), Electrification, and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication.
“Telangana is emerging as a key player in India’s automotive industry, backed by substantial investments and a robust, innovation-driven ecosystem,” said Minister Sridhar Babu, highlighting the state’s growing prominence in the sector. He further added, “The partnership with Denso is a significant milestone that reaffirms the State’s commitment to become a leading centre for automotive and sustainable technology innovation. The State boasts of a strong presence of automotive design, semiconductor, and sensor engineering companies, which are vital for fostering the growth of the automotive industry. With companies like Mahindra and Mahindra, Bharat Forge, Exide, and Amara Raja Batteries establishing advanced manufacturing facilities, we are transforming Telangana into a hub for both traditional automotive components and cutting-edge electric vehicle technologies.”
T-Hub CEO Sujit Jagirdar expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “The partnership with Denso is another step in T-Hub’s journey to build a world-class automotive innovation hub in Telangana. We look forward to engaging with start-ups aligned with our vision for a sustainable and intelligent future in mobility.”
Denso International India CEO Yasuhiro Iida emphasized the importance of supporting local innovation, stating, “Our support will include access to R&D resources and technical expertise, empowering these start-ups to scale successfully.” Additionally, Denso will sponsor T-Hub’s hackathons and innovation challenges, with a focus on critical automotive technologies such as AI, ADAS, Electrification, and V2X communication.
This collaboration is poised to significantly enhance Telangana’s reputation as a hub for automotive innovation, providing start-ups with invaluable access to global expertise, resources, and opportunities to scale their solutions in a rapidly advancing industry.
