Apple Inc., the tech giant known for its innovative products and premium retail experiences, is ramping up its hiring efforts in India. According to a recent report from India Today, Apple is set to hire around 400 employees for its new retail outlets slated to open in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai in 2025. This move aligns with Apple’s ongoing commitment to expanding its retail presence in India, following the success of its flagship stores in Mumbai’s BKC and Delhi’s Select City Walk.
The recruitment drive, reported by Moneycontrol, includes listings for a variety of full-time and part-time positions on Apple’s official website, targeting a robust workforce to staff the new stores. These job postings reflect Apple’s approach of offering diverse roles similar to those in its existing stores in Mumbai and Delhi.
An Apple source elaborated on these part-time opportunities: “Apple’s part-time opportunities are for fresh graduates seeking experience in working with a large corporation. These graduates can take up various shifts at Apple stores,” the source told Moneycontrol.
Currently, Apple’s BKC store in Mumbai and the Select City Walk store in Delhi employ around 90-100 staff members each, including part-time employees working in flexible shifts. “Apple is looking to hire a similar number of employees for its four new stores in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai,” another insider told Moneycontrol, emphasizing the company’s commitment to providing employment opportunities that cater to a broad range of talent.
The new store expansions come in response to the success of Apple’s initial retail presence in India. Launched in April of the previous year by CEO Tim Cook, Apple’s stores in BKC and Select City Walk have quickly become top-performing locations globally. Sources revealed that the two stores generated substantial revenue, reporting around Rs 800 crore (approximately USD 95.15 million) in their first year, with nearly 60% of sales attributed to the smaller Delhi store.
