Gramophone Elevates Navneet Singh Batra to Co-Founder Role

Agri-tech startup Gramophone has announced the elevation of long-term company executive Navneet Singh Batra to the position of Co-founder. Navneet brings over a decade of extensive experience in sales and marketing across the FMCG and Agri industries, which has been crucial to Gramophone’s success. In his new role, Navneet will lead the sales and marketing functions, focusing on strategic initiatives to enhance the company’s market presence and drive significant growth.
Navneet Singh Batra, who has previously served as the Business Head of Retail Business at Gramophone, has played a pivotal role in driving business revenue, profitability, and category management. His efforts in launching and scaling the B2B retailer business, managing both online and offline marketing initiatives, and strategically pivoting the business model have been instrumental in achieving profitability. His new responsibilities will include expanding into new geographies, scaling marketing efforts, optimizing customer acquisition strategies, driving margins, and expanding Gramophone’s reach across diverse agricultural markets.

Gramophone, an Agri-tech startup, offers an Intelligent Farming Platform for farmers in India. Gramophone works with over 2 million farmers and retailers, providing guidance throughout the crop life cycle, from seed selection and sowing to the efficient use of Agri-inputs.

Before joining Gramophone, Navneet led marketing for nurture.retail, where he played a pivotal role in onboarding thousands of retailers across the country and driving digital sales. Prior to that, he worked with JioMart, where he led several programs aimed at transforming traditional Kirana stores into modern retail outlets. He also played a key role in digitizing Reliance Market’s wholesale network and implementing B2B lead generation strategies, significantly contributing to JioMart’s growth.
To date, Gramophone has raised approximately $20.5 million in total funding, with notable investors such as Infoedge, Z3 Partners, Asha Impact, and Siana Capital.
