Thyrocare Expands Northern India Presence with Polo Labs Acquisition

Healthcare service provider Thyrocare has announced the acquisition of the pathology diagnostic business of Polo Labs Private Limited. This strategic acquisition marks a substantial expansion for Thyrocare, solidifying its position as a key player in the Indian diagnostic industry.

According to an official release, the business transfer agreement with Polo Labs will enable Thyrocare to enhance its diagnostic capabilities and service offerings by leveraging Polo Labs’ existing widespread network in North India. The acquisition is expected to lead to a seamless integration and growth, bringing innovation and exceptional diagnostic services to a broader client base.

Polo Labs Private Limited, based in Punjab, is a well-established pathology diagnostic company with 14 laboratories spread across Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. The company serves a substantial client base and has a significant market presence in Northern India, contributing to the region’s healthcare infrastructure.

Thyrocare, known for its cost-effective and high-quality diagnostic services, operates a fully automated laboratory chain that serves over 2000 cities globally. The company runs a central lab in Navi Mumbai, which operates 24/7 with automation and processes over 75,000 specimens nightly. Thyrocare’s extensive network of authorised collection centres, supported by advanced logistics and IT systems, ensures a rapid 4–8-hour turnaround for 90% of tests.
