Magicpin Launches Velocity: Aims to Scale Hyperlocal Delivery to 100k Orders

Hyperlocal delivery startup Magicpin has unveiled its delivery-as-a-service vertical called Velocity, aiming to scale it to handle 100,000 orders daily. Currently, the platform manages an average of 5,000 orders per day. Regarding this initiative, the company stated, “the challenges posed by the fragmented nature of the logistics market, where no single third-party logistics (3PL) provider has been able to dominate vertically or horizontally due to the scattered demand patterns of brands.”
Under Velocity, Magicpin serves as an aggregator for its 3PL partners like Shadowfax, Dunzo, Rapido, and others. The platform currently handles 5,000 orders daily and plans to escalate to over 100,000 orders daily. Magicpin boasts a 95% on-time delivery performance with Velocity, promising delivery within 30 minutes for hyperlocal deliveries. It offers map-based live workforce tracking, real-time order status updates, and integrated customer feedback mechanisms. Sharma highlighted, “With our strategic partnerships and advanced tech, we’re already serving over 20 merchants and delivering 5,000 orders per day.”
The company has partnered with prominent brands like KFC, Burger King, Rebel Foods, and Eat Club, among others. These partnerships are aimed at leveraging Velocity’s capabilities to enhance delivery services. Sharma added, “Moving forward, we are planning to scale up significantly, aiming to handle over 1 lakh orders daily.”
Velocity by Magicpin is positioned as a plug-and-play tech platform and aggregator of 3PL providers, offering cost-effectiveness and eliminating capital expenditure for businesses. It enables businesses to optimize operational expenses effectively.
