Project X Cloud Bags World Trade Center Innovation Award at IIT Bombay

Project X Cloud, led by a dynamic team of visionary students, has been honored with the World Trade Center Innovation Award at IIT Bombay. This recognition underscores the startup’s commitment to revolutionizing computing accessibility in India.
Founded by Rounak Adhikari, Subhrakamal Das, Ronit Banerjee, and Suraj Kuncham, ProjectX.Cloud aims to address the critical issue of limited access to high-quality computing devices, affecting over 75% of students in India. The team has developed InfinityOS, the world’s first Cloud-based Operating System, designed to run seamlessly on any device, providing limitless computation.
The initiative has garnered widespread support from industry leaders and organizations, including Nvidia, BCG, HP, and VMware. Additionally, ProjectX.Cloud has been selected to represent India at TigerLaunch, held at Princeton University, one of the world’s most prestigious entrepreneurship challenges.
The startup has also received confirmation at Eureka IIT Bombay, further validating its potential impact on transforming the education technology landscape in India.
Rounak Adhikari, a student and driving force behind ProjectX.Cloud, expressed gratitude for the backing received from Google Cloud and other notable organizations. Adhikari has already achieved recognition through grants totaling Rs 10 lakh from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Electronics and IT.
Recently securing a notable $200,000 in infrastructure support from Google Cloud, Project X Cloud continues to gain momentum, with plans to secure seed funding of $3 million (Rs 24 crore) to propel its mission forward.
