HerKey, a career engagement platform for women, raises $4M in funding round led by Kalaari and 360 ONE Asset

HerKey, a career engagement platform for women, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $4 million in a funding round from Kalaari and 360 ONE Asset (formerly known as IIFL Asset Management). The funding round also saw participation from notable angel investors such as Zia Mody, Managing Partner of AZB & Partners; Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director of Dalmia Bharat Group; Pramit Jhaveri, Former CEO of Citi India; Aditi and Shuchi Kothari of DSP Investment Managers Private Limited; KP Balaraj, Founder of KPB Family Trust; Ranjan Pai, Chairman of Manipal Group; Neeraj Bajaj, Chairman of Mukand Limited; and Akash Bhansali.
HerKey, previously known as JobsForHer, is a career engagement platform that connects women with job opportunities and provides support in upskilling, reskilling, and mentorship. The platform, founded by Neha Bagaria, currently caters to 3.5 million women and aims to increase this number to 30 million in the future. HerKey has over 10,000 companies registered on the platform to engage with female candidates, as per a statement.
According to Vani Kola, Founder and Managing Director of Kalaari Capital, the participation of women in the workforce will play a vital role in India’s economic growth in the next decade. She believes that HerKey is a digital platform that is urgently needed to achieve this objective. By connecting women and providing them with opportunities to share their knowledge and perspectives, HerKey allows them to interact with each other regardless of time and location.
Nidhi Ghuman, Senior EVP at 360 ONE Asset, expressed her delight in being a part of the initiative to empower women and promote inclusivity and equity in society. She stated that, on average, 80% of women who take a career break aspire to return to the workforce, and HerKey’s efforts to facilitate this transition are commendable.
